We were tasked by UK Coastguard to a group of 7 people who found themselves stuck on the Porthcawl side of the Ogmore river near the water treatment works. Working with our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard they were able to gain access to the road bridge and get the casualties safely to the Ogmore side via the bridge. They had been in the water and were treated for exposure to the cold water before being returned to their car at Ogmore.
