Our volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard to conduct a search off Ogmore By Sea to investigate reports of an object in the water.

The crew launched our Atlantic 85 lifeboat and whilst searching the area located numerous large logs, trees etc.

Following a search of around 20 minutes with nothing of concern located by either ourselves or our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard Team we were stood down and returned to station. It was believed one of the numerous large floating items was what the earlier report had related to with the call being a false alarm with good intent.
