Tasked by UK Coastguard to assist police and Llantwit Major Coastguard with a stranded person at the mouth of the River Ogmore. Porthcawl’s D Class lifeboat, Jean Ryall was launched on service.

The person was recovered onto the lifeboat and transferred to the Ogmore side of the river where care was handed over to police and the Coastguard team.

The lifeboat returned to station where all equipment and the lifeboat was disinfected and prepared ready for the next call.
