UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl’s volunteer RNLI crew to assist with a multi-agency search at Ogmore By Sea. The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires and D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen were both launched on service to conduct a search in the area.

After a search of around 20 minutes the lifeboats were stood down as the incident was successfully resolved.
