UK Coastguard requested the launch of the charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires to assist a jet ski in difficulty off Summerhouse Point near Llantwit Major. The casualty was taken onboard the lifeboat and the jet ski taken in tow to the slipway at St. Donat’s (Atlantic College) in order to be recovered onto its trailer.

The lifeboat then returned back to station to be refuelled and made ready for service.
