UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew in the early hours of the morning to assist with a multi-agency incident at Newton.
As soon as the crew had launched the charity’s D Class Hugo Missen at Sandy Bay (Coney Beach) information was received that the situation had been resolved. The lifeboat was recovered and the crew and shore crew washed down and rehoused the lifeboat and Landrover before returning to their beds.
