UK Coastguard paged Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew to a person in difficulty in the water off Porthcawl Breakwater.
The charity’s D Class lifeboat, Hugo Missen was launched on service within minutes with three crew onboard. The casualty was taken onboard the lifeboat and returned back to the safety of our launch slipway. The crew gave casualty care until the arrival of an ambulance which took the casualty to the next level of care.
