UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew following a report of a person in the water at Newton Beach requiring assistance.
The charity’s D Class lifeboat, Hugo Missen was launched on service and arrived on scene shortly after. The crew assisted a person from the water and then handed the casualty to other emergency services on scene for further assessment.
