UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew following a report they’d received from Porthcawl NCI that a paddleboarder may be in need of assistance off Dunraven Bay. The charity’s D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen was launched on service.

When the crew arrived on scene the paddleboarder had made it close into shore and required no assistance. The lifeboat was stood down and started to make its way back to the station but then received a further tasking.
