HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew to assist Llantwit Major Coastguard with a medical evacuation at Hardy’s Bay, Ogmore By Sea.
The charity’s D Class lifeboat ’Hugo Missen’ was launched on service and made best speed to the location.
The casualty had suffered a leg injury whilst in the surf. Once on scene the crew assisted the coastguard team with casualty care.
The casualty was then taken onboard the lifeboat and transferred to the slipway at Ogmore By Sea and then passed back into the care of the Coastguard team.
