Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard following a report that 3 people may be cut off by the tide at Dunraven Bay, Southerndown.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service. Once on scene a crew member went ashore and spoke with the 3 people. It was established they were climbers and did not require any further assistance. The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station where it was made ready for service.
In a coastal emergency dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
