Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report they’d received from Porthcawl NCI of a paddleboarder possibly in difficulty near Fairy Buoy.

The charity’s D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen made best speed to the location. Once on scene it was established the paddleboarder was safe and well and not in need of assistance. The paddleboarder was well equipped and happy to continue onwards.

In a coastal emergency dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
