Whilst returning from an earlier launch: Launch 50/24 – 📟 12.09pm | Porthcawl RNLI (porthcawl-lifeboat.co.uk) the crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to conduct a welfare check on small vessel that had been seen drifting off the seafront for over a mile. When the crew arrived on scene they confirmed with the boat’s occupants they were not in need of assistance. The crew were then stood down and returned to station where the lifeboat was rehoused and made ready for service.
