Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard in the early hours to assist with a multi-agency search at Sandy Bay (Coney Beach).

Both the charity’s lifeboats D class Hugo Missen and Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires were launched on service. The lifeboats were stood down shortly after arriving on scene when it was confirmed no further assistance was required.
