John was an original crew member when the RNLI re-established a lifeboat at Porthcawl in 1965. Marj Abraham is a stalwart when it comes to raising money for the RNLI. This year she has raised over £2,000 by selling raffle tickets for her, now well known, hand made patchwork quilts.
