Memory ride for the RNLI
Over 50 friends and family met at The Mumbles lifeboat station on Sunday to raise money for the RNLI in memory of Tim Mahoney.
Tim sadly passed away from cancer in July this year and always liked to support the RNLI. He also loved cycling and in 2017 he completed a charity bike with Action Bikes to Ride the Somme.
Tim Conway Lifeboat Operations Manager at the Mumbles said ‘We’re very grateful for their fundraising efforts in supporting the charity. They set out at 9.30 this morning and headed for Porthcawl station via Port Talbot lifeboat station. It was lovely to see some of them returning to Mumbles just as our all weather lifeboat was returning from a shout while relieving Porthcawl’s lifeboat of a tow’.
