HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew following a report they’d received from Porthcawl NCI. 3 surfers had been swept around the point at Rest Bay. HM Coastguard requested the launch of both of the charity’s lifeboats following a report that a person was spotted possibly in difficulty in the water opposite the seabank hotel. HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew to a report of a paddleboarder in difficulty off Porthcawl. Following a thorough search of the area along with Porthcawl Coastguard and Llantwit Major Coastguard no one in difficulty was found. The crew were stood down with the call believed to be a false alarm with good intent.
