UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew following a report of a paddleboarder in difficulty off Trecco Bay. The charity's D Class lifeboat Hugo Misssen was launched on service and it was swiftly established the paddleboarder was actually a large log. The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station to be made ready for service.

Whilst at Ogmore By Sea to assist RNLI lifeguards with an earlier incident the D Class Hugo Missen received a further tasking from UK Coastguard.
