Our volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard immediately after the previous call to conduct a search as part of a multi-agency incident in the area of Sandy Bay. Porthcawl's volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard to assist two surfers who had been swept onto rocks close to the marina entrance. The charity's D class lifeboat was launched and both casualties were recovered onto the D Class and transferred to the slipway.
