The Atlantic 85 lifeboat was returning from an earlier call when it received an immediate tasking to two swimmers in difficulty who were being assisted by off duty lifeguards at Rhych Point. When the lifeboat arrived on scene the crew spoke to the swimmers however they refused the assistance of the crew being confident they could get back to the slipway.

UK Coastguard requested the launch of our D Class lifeboat to a report of a swimmer in difficulty at Trecco Bay. The swimmer had made it to shore requiring no further assistance shortly before the D Class lifeboat arrived on scene. The lifeboat returned to station where it was made ready for service.
UK Coastguard requested the launch of both the Atlantic 85 and D Class lifeboats to assist with a multiagency search in the Porthcawl area. All was satisfactorily resolved after around 45 minutes of searching and the lifeboats were rehoused and made ready for service.
UK Coastguard tasked our volunteer crew and Porthcawl Coastguard Team to a report of a person in difficulty around the point at Rest Bay. On arrival on scene, the coastguard team met with the first informant who advised them that the person had just made it ashore and did not require any medical assistance. Our
