UK Coastguard requested the launch of our Atlantic 85 lifeboat to a swimmer believed to be in difficulty in the Rest Bay area. The lifeboat was stood down shortly after launch with the call being a false alarm with good intent.

Having originally left the beach at Sandy Bay (Coney Beach) they were unable to get back against the tide and were being assisted by an RNLI lifeguard.
