Our volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard to a yacht aground at Llantwit Major Beach. Both lifeboats attended and provided assistance to those onboard the yacht. The yacht was refloated by towing it clear of the shore on the incoming tide. Our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard also attended to assist with the incident.

Both lifeboats were tasked by UK Coastguard to conduct a search off the seafront following a report of an object in the water. The lifeboats searched the area and noted several logs, branches and a porpoise. With nothing further of concern noted the lifeboats were stood down and returned to their training exercises.

UK Coastguard tasked our volunteer crew to assist three kayakers who were struggling against the tide and wind North of Tusker Rock. The kayakers were being monitored on CCTV by National Coastwatch Institution - Porthcawl with the footage relayed to the UK Coastguard operations room. UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl and The Mumbles RNLI volunteer crews to the aid of a 9 metre yacht which had reportedly run aground at Sker Point, Porthcawl.   The yacht with 2 people onboard was immediately assisted by Porthcawl Lifeboat until the Mumbles Lifeboat arrived on scene.   The Mumbles All Weather Lifeboat escorted the

We were tasked by UK Coastguard to a group of 7 people who found themselves stuck on the Porthcawl side of the Ogmore river near the water treatment works. Working with our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard they were able to gain access to the road bridge and get the casualties safely to the Ogmore

Whilst out on a training exercise we were tasked by UK Coastguard to a casualty with a dislocated knee at Rest Bay. The lifeboat was first on scene and crew members provided casualty care. Our volunteers were tasked by UK Coastguard and launched both lifeboats following a call to report multiple persons cut off by the tide at Southerndown. The lifeboats were launched to locate and assist the casualties. Both our lifeboats were tasked by UK Coastguard to persons cut off by the tide near Ogmore By Sea. The crew picked the casualties up who had lit a fire to signal their location to the lifeboats. They were handed over to our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard to be transferred back to their car.

Our volunteers were tasked by UK Coastguard  and launched the D Class lifeboat to people who had been caught in a current and swept onto rocks at the entrance of Porthcawl Marina. Our colleagues from RNLI Lifeguards South East Wales (who are patrolling Sandy Bay and Trecco Bay beaches over the Easter weekend) had made
