UK Coastguard requested the launch of our Atlantic 85 after reports of windsurfers in difficulty off Newton Point. As the lifeboat arrived on scene it found the windsurfers had made it onto the beach at Trecco Bay and required no further assistance. Porthcawl Coastguard were also paged and attended the incident. Our volunteers were paged by UK Coastguard and launched our D Class lifeboat to assist a broken down jet ski approximately 200m offshore at Newton Beach. The jet ski had broken down with two people onboard. It was towed back to the slipway at Porthcawl Pier.

Our volunteers launched our Atlantic 85 at the request of UK Coastguard. National Coastwatch Institution - Porthcawl had been monitoring a group of four Stand Up Paddleboarders and were concerned for some of the group who appeared to be showing signs of fatigue as they battled against wind and tide approximately 200m off Newton Point.

UK Coastguard requested the launch of our Atlantic 85 to a speedboat which had broken down near Kenfig Patches with four adults and four children onboard. UK Coastguard requested the launch of our lifeboats after clothes were found folded alongside Ogmore river and there was a report someone had left the pub and gone for a swim. UK Coastguard requested the launch of our lifeboats to recover a person from the water off Porthcawl seafront. Casualty care was administered by the crew onboard the lifeboat and then passed onto the ambulance service who transferred the casualty to hospital. No further information available at this time.

Our volunteers launched our lifeboats following a report of persons cut off by the tide between Witches Point and Monknash. UK Coastguard requested the launch of our lifeboats after receiving multiple 999 calls regarding two boys cut off by the incoming tide on a rocky outcrop at Newton Point. Waves were starting to break over the rock and the boys predicament was time critical as there was still two hours to go until high tide.

Tasked by UK Coastguard following a 999 call reporting a kayaker to be in difficulty at Ogmore Deeps. Both lifeboats proceeded to the scene.
