UK Coastguard requested the launch of our lifeboats to recover a person from the water off Porthcawl seafront. Casualty care was administered by the crew onboard the lifeboat and then passed onto the ambulance service who transferred the casualty to hospital. No further information available at this time.

The D Class lifeboat was launched following reports of windsurfers in difficulty in Newton Bay. Once on scene the crew found one windsurfer had made it ashore whilst a second needed further assistance as his mast had snapped. The crew brought the windsurfer onboard along with his equipment and transferred him back to the beach
