Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard at 2.34pm on Saturday 27 April following a report that three people on stand up paddleboards (SUPs) were struggling to get back to shore at Rest Bay, Porthcawl. Due to strong north easterly (offshore) winds the casualties had been blown around 1 mile from the shore.
