Our volunteers launched our Atlantic 85 to a broken down 5m rib. The boat had been towed by Mumbles lifeboat to Scarweather where we took over the tow and took the boat back to Newton Bay from where it had launched.

Our D Class ILB launched to an injured horse rider east of black rocks, Newton. Our ILB arrived on scene, located casualty and assisted Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 187 with casualty care until the arrival of Porthcawl and Llantwit Major Coastguard. Our volunteers launched our lifeboats on service today following reports by RNLI lifeguards of persons cut off by the tide at Southerndown. Our D Class was first on scene and found the casualties cut off between Southerndown and Ogmore Deeps. A crewmember swam ashore to reassure the casualties and check if any further medical assistance
