We were tasked by Milford Haven coastguard to investigate a kayaker reported to be in difficulties by Porthcawl Coastwatch a few hundred metres off Irongate Point. Our volunteers launched our Atlantic 85 on service. When we arrived on scene the kayaker refused assistance. We stood by in the vicinity until the kayaker made it back

Our volunteer launched both boats to search for a despondent person in the area of Porthcawl along with Porthcawl Coastguard and the Police helicopter.

Our volunteers launched both lifeboats on service following reports of a kayaker in difficulties at Newton Point. The Atlantic 85 recovered the kayaker from the water whilst the D Class (IB1) recovered the kayaker. All were brough back to the lifeboat station where the kayaker was checked over by paramedics.

Both our Atlantic 85 and IB1 lifeboats launched on service to conduct a search for a despondent male believed to be in the Ogmore area. After a search of approximately 30 minutes the missing person was located inland and the lifeboats were stood down.

Both our Atlantic 85 and IB1 lifeboats were diverted from their training exercise and requested to undertake a search for a missing person in the Newton area. The person was found safely ashore and both boats returned to station.

Porthcawl RNLI lifeboat volunteers were paged following reports of a life raft adrift in the Bristol Channel approximately one mile east of the breakwater. Porthcawl Lifeboat was launched within minutes to investigate the circumstances of the life raft and to check if there were any persons aboard. Fortunately the craft, although badly damaged by the

Our volunteers were paged at 17.06 today to reports of 2 persons cut off by the tide near to Nash Point. The casualties were rescued by our smaller IB1 lifeboat which is able to operate in shallower water and then transferred to the larger Atlantic 85 lifeboat. ‪#‎RNLIshout‬

Our Atlantic 85 launched to a windsurfer in difficulties off Newton Point. An RNLI lifeguard had paddled out to offer assistance. The windsurfer made it ashore once we arrived on scene and was given safety advice by Porthcawl Coastguard. #‎RNLIshout‬

Our volunteers were paged to a dog swimming out to sea off Newton. Our Atlantic 85 launched on service to find the dog had decided to return to shore. Never be afraid to call 999 and ask for the coastguard if you have concern for a dog. We'd far rather be called out than the
