Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to assist with a multi-agency incident. The Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched on service and proceeded to the Vale of Glamorgan area. The lifeboat was stood down after around 45 minutes when all was resolved.

Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard following reports that a person had got into difficulty whilst swimming from the outfall pipe on Porthcawl seafront between Irongate and Hutchwns Points. HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew following a report of a person in the water at Rest Bay. The charity's Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires was launched on service and the crew helped the person to safety ashore.

Following the previous service launch (51+52/2023) the D Class crew spotted a paddle boarder some distance off Rest Bay being swept out by offshore winds. The crew went to check on them which led to them rescuing the paddle boarder too and dropping them back to the beach.

Following a brief search (launch 49/2023)  the crew were retasked by HM Coastguard to a further incident to assist a wing surfer who was in difficulty to the south of Porthcawl Breakwater. The wing surfer was taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped ashore at Newton.
