HM Coastguard paged Porthcawl RNLI crew and requested they launch to assess the situation and provide safety cover to Llantwit Major Coastguard Team. Whilst afloat on engine trials HM Coastguard requested the Atlantic 85 divert to assess the situation with a motor cruiser which was experiencing engine difficulties in Sandy Bay (Coney Beach). Once on scene the helm decided the best way to assist the casualty was to take it in tow into the marina.
HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew following a report 2 PWC’s (jet ski’s) were in difficulty. The lifeboat proceeded to Newton where it located the two PWC’s.
