Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard following a report that a dinghy had capsized in Newton Bay.

Following a search of the area no one was found to be in difficulty. There was a kite surfer in the bay who confirmed all other kite surfers had returned to the beach.

The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.
