Whilst out on a training exercise we were tasked by UK Coastguard to a casualty with a dislocated knee at Rest Bay. The lifeboat was first on scene and crew members provided casualty care. On arrival of our colleagues from Porthcawl Coastguard it became necessary to move the casualty due to the incoming tide and our crew members provided assistance to the Coastguard team along with an off duty nurse. The casualty was then transferred to hospital by family members.
