Our volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard to a report 2 people were cut off by the incoming tide at Southerndown. The casualties were disorientated and unsure of their exact location. Both our Atlantic 85 and D Class lifeboats were launched on service to search for the casualties.

The Atlantic 85 crew located the casualties who were observed self rescuing up Witches Point where they were met by our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard.

In a coastal emergency dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
