UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew to reports of multiple people cut off by the tide at the Ogmore River. Both lifeboats were launched on service as a preventative safety measure. The Atlantic 85 arrived on scene and assisted 11 casualties across the river to ensure they did not attempt to cross. The D Class lifeboat was retasked whilst enroute to a new incident at Sandy Bay.
