Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report that 3 paddleboarders may require assistance off Newton Point.

The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires made best speed to the location. Once on scene the paddleboarders were located but found to not be in difficulty. The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.

In a coastal emergency dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
