Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to investigate a fishing boat which had reported engine failure off Irongate Point.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires was launched on service and made best speed to the casualty’s position. Upon arrival on scene it was established the crew of the fishing boat had managed to restart the engine and it was escorted by the lifeboat back to Porthcawl Marina.
