Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to investigate an object in the water at Hardy’s Bay, Ogmore By Sea. Llantwit Major Coastguard were also tasked to the incident.
Once on scene the crew located the object in the water which was found to be a log. The crew were stood down from the incident by the coastguard and returned to Newton slipway for recovery, with the call being a false alarm with good intent.
