Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to assist in a multi-agency response along the Vale of Glamorgan coastline. The charity’s Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service at approximately 4.05am.
