Both our Atlantic 85 and D Class were launched on service to reports of a capsized vessel in the area of Monknash. Both lifeboats conducted an extensive search of the area along with Llantwit Major Coastguard team. After searching for nearly 60 minutes nothing further was found and no further reports were made regarding a capsized vessel. Our lifeboats were stood down and the call was believed to be a false alarm with good intent.
