Our crew were paged by UK Coastguard following a Mayday Call broadcast on channel 16. Both our inshore lifeboats were launched on service and conducted a search of the area between Sker Point and Witches Point. Porthcawl Coastguard and Llantwit Major Coastguard were also tasked to conduct searches of the area. Following a through search of the area and with no further information to suggest someone was in trouble at sea the lifeboats were stood down.
