Our D Class was launched following concerns by lifeguards at Sandy Bay for a kite surfer. The lifeguards no longer had visual and he had been out of sight for some time. Porthcawl NCI also confirmed to UK Coastguard that they had no visual of the kite surfer. Shortly after the D Class launched the lifeguards reported that the kite surfer had been located safe and well having come ashore at town beach. Our crew were stood down by UK Coastguard and returned to station.
