Both our lifeboats were launched on service at the request of UK Coastguard following reports of a person in the water at Sandy Bay. The casualty was located by our D Class lifeboat ‘Porthcawl ILB’ and taken onboard. They were then brought back to the lifeboat station and taken into the care of the ambulance service.
