UK Coastguard requested the launch of our Atlantic 85 after reports of windsurfers in difficulty off Newton Point.

As the lifeboat arrived on scene it found the windsurfers had made it onto the beach at Trecco Bay and required no further assistance. Porthcawl Coastguard were also paged and attended the incident.

Once it was confirmed all windsurfers were safe and well we were stood down and returned to station where the lifeboat was made ready for service.
